At a free event in Oak Bay at Windsor Park Pavillion on Thursday, March 20, local historian Helen Edwards will chronicle the team’s historic win, and attendees will have a chance to ask questions.
The sports-lover’s knowledge of Canada’s game runs so deep, that she penned a definitive history of professional hockey in Victoria in which she summarizes every pro game played in town, starting with the debut of ice hockey here in an Oak Bay arena that burned down in 1929.
